Applying SOFT4Lessee License URL for download

From SOFT4Lessee version 1.0.21.x (ASC 842 1.0.10.x), it is necessary to apply new license. After you receive a license source URL address, you have to input it on Business Central. With these steps, we giving the system a source to download the valid license from.

  1. Using Business Central search, find the License Sources (SLE) page:
  2. Paste the URL provided by SOFT4 in the rows of the page:

Applying or Renewing Soft4Lessee license

  1. We need to instruct the system to download a valid license from the provided URL source (we filled in the source in the previous section). This can be done from the Licenses (SLE) page. Look this page up via Business Central search:
  1. Click Download Licenses action on the top action bar, then click OK in the pop-up window:

  2. If the system asks you for permission to make a request to an external service, select Allow Always. This is needed so the license can be downloaded and applied to the system successfully.
  3. After following the steps above, your SOFT4Lessee license is downloaded, and the SOFT4Lessee application is activated.

    For users without SUPER permission set

    It's necessary to assign LBCLIC APP LICENSING permission set to all system users that do not have the SUPER permission set assigned on their user account:

     
  4. Refresh the page (can be done with shortcut Ctrl + f5), or logout and login again to Business Central for permissions to activate.

License renewal

Whenever the client license is updated by SOFT4 (new users added or modules added, license extended) it is necessary to re-download the license in your Business Central environment by following the steps this section (Applying or Renewing Soft4Lessee license). Setting up the Job Queue to download the license automatically

It is recommended to schedule a job to download the license automatically, so that it would always be up to date. License needs to be updated every time new users are added, the license is extended, new modules are purchased, or other activities related to licensing of SOFT4Lessee. To do so, you can schedule that process using the Job Queue.

  1. Create new Job Queue Entry with parameters seen below (upon installation of Soft4Lessee, this Job Queue is created automatically. A user just needs to restart it):
  2. Restart the Job Queue to run it immediately, and set it to repeat:

Partner accounts in SaaS

Job queues in SaaS can only be started by user with license. It is unallowed to be ran by partner accounts.
