First, if not yet done, you need to run Fixed Asset Setup. You can find how to do so here FA Setup. Then, you'll need to create or import your leases into the system.
When importing or creating leases, additionally fill in the Migration Date field. It will be filled in automatically if the field Migration Date is filled in the Lease Setup page.
Then, in the Lease Agreements list page, you can select Fixed Asset No. from the existing list of Fixed Assets.
Editable property
Fixed Asset No. field is only editable if the selected Lease Category has Use Fixed Assets for RoU option enabled in the Lease Categories page.

Selecting Fixed Asset No. will fill in Historical Asset Cost and Accum. Depreciation fields from Fixed Asset entries. Below is how the fields are classified.
Historical Asset Cost contains…
- Acquisition Cost;
- Appreciation;
- Write-Down.
Accumulated Depreciation contains…
- Depreciation.
Double entries
The current solution for this posts acquisition and accumulated balance again - you'll need to cancel these manually without reversing the whole transaction. Post FA G/L Journal without Lease No. entered.
