Reversing Lease entries is done by periods, where every G/L entry in a selected period is reversed.
You can find the Reverse G/L Postings function through the Role Center to navigating to Setup → Admin:
You need to select a time period, but keep in mind it cannot be in the middle of the lease. The period must start from the oldest posted period and go up to the date you want.
Example:
If the lease has been posted from 2025-01-01 to 2025-12-31, and you want to reverse June, you must reverse from 2025-06-01 to 2025-12-31 (not just June alone).
It's also very important to specify the Lease No. filter, otherwise all leases with G/L entries in the selected period will be reversed.
Reversed entries' posting dates:
- You can reverse entries for closed periods - the posting date of the reversed entry will be the first available date (Allow Posting From field in the General Ledger Setup);
- If the periods are not closed, the posting dates for the reversing entries will be in their respective periods (the same as the original entries').
